During the last few months of Sami's life I carried her up and down the stairs whenever it was required. She was a heavy 60 lbs and I weigh 100 lbs. But I loved her so much that it wasn't that difficult. Sasha is 43 lbs and hates to be picked up. The only time she gets lifted is into the vehicle.

Yup! Nino is 50 lbs, he doesn't like to be held, but if he is getting out of line and won't come in from the backyard, I sometimes pick him up and carry him in. Nino is considered a medium sized (on the small size of medium) dog by most of our freinds, we tend to go for the neos, danes, mastiffs, etc.

I can't carry my dogs around but I have picked Lacey up a couple times. When she had to go the vet after she hurt her leg I picked her up and put her in the truck. She weighs 70 lbs. Lifting her out and setting her down was nothing, but the couple times I lifted her in was not so easy! Pick up Mandy, forget it, she's around 90 lbs!

If I have to and am in a big enough panic, I can lift and carry any of them--even the two 130 pounders. I have carried Kayleigh and lifted her into the back seat of my truck twice when she has been hurt and couldn't make it on her own. When Preacher fell in the crawl space a couple months ago, I lifted his 80 pound butt up over four feet and pushed him over my head to get him out! Adrenaline is a wonderful thing!

Normally, I don't try to lift the real big ones. I can lift them all enough to straighten out tangles when they are sledding.

I love carrying Ozzy around and he seems to enjoy it too. I sometimes carry him around the yard for a few minutes and he just snuggles right into me.

I can carry Snowy, she is only around 13 pounds! I love just to carry her around the house when she is sleepy and cuddles up to me.

I can carry Ginger she is 10 lbs, Reggie is 20lbs, and Tori is about 12 lbs so I can carry them pretty easily.

As for Junior he is about 65 lbs I can left him but not carry him.
