Some vets don't have any problems spaying cats while they're in heat. It's a bit riskier as there's more of a chance of bleeding, but I've done it with no problems whatsoever. Sure beats that infernal catterwhalling all day & night! A cat can go in and out of heat non-stop until spayed, or mated with. I'd call vets and see what they say.
