    The phone call

    When Peej had the lesion taken off his foot, we had it sent to the pathology lab to make sure it wasn't cancer. I had pretty much convinced myself that he was fine.

    The doctor called today and left me a voice mail. All he said was, "This is Dr. Habbinga. We have PJ's test results in. Please give me a call as soon as you can."

    *gulp*

    He didn't sound positive. He didn't just tell me what the results were. I instantly panicked and by the time I called him back which was only a minute or so after I heard the message, I was close to tears.

    Turns out the boo boo was only badly infected. There's no cancer!! I wanted to ring the old man's neck for making me worry like that, ( ) but after such great news, I forgave him. He's putting Peej on a strong antibiotic, but other than that he's got a clean bill of health.

    Whew!!

    Don't you hate that!? Glad PJ is okay!

    My sister collapsed at work and had tests run at the hospital. The doctor called and left her message that said only "Come to my office as soon as possible." in a low serious tone.

    My sister panicked.... turns out she has a vitamin deficiency. She wanted to strangle the doctor too.

    Whoa, you had me REALLY worried there too! Oh, I hate "those" calls when they just ask you to call back. But after hearing the great news, I'm sure all was forgiven! I'm SO happy for you and Peej! Take your meds and feel better soon, sweetheart!
