I also don't know the laws in your town, but where I'm from it is illegal to abandon your pets like that. Essy didn't get in this condition in 2 weeks either so y'all need to report this to the local animal control or humane society and the police. These owners need to be tracked down and charged. Since you have pics of her condition that is the most valuable evidence against these a-holes. Maybe even some pics of the dead male if possible and pics of the condition of the place they came from. Before I even saw the pics I knew for some reason it had to be a Pit Bull. I think when you said she crawled into your lap and covered you in kisses even though she was scared is what gave it away. Yes, we know that it was more than two weeks for this to happen, but we know that if was two weeks ago she was abandoned.
We are reporting them, we have their address and the pictures, we took Essy to the humane society today to see what they think, they said she was probably pregnant or full of worms!
She's going to the vet tomorrow.
