George is the best kitty ever. I love him to pieces. I have known him since he was 3 months old and he's now a year old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He and his 2 brothers (Panther and Mario) have grown up at the shelter. I think I showed you their pics before on AIM. I go say good morning to George first thing every day. He'll lick my ear and bite my nose in that order. And he purrs louder than anything!! I call them 'The Big Three'. They have been in isolation for NINE months but guess what? LAST WEEK THEY MOVED UP FOR ADOPTION!!!! In fact, I almost got myself fired over George. This woman wanted him to be an indoor/outdoor cat and there was no way I could let that happen. He's basically grown up in a small metal box (our cages in isolation are metal
but the adoption cages are a lot nicer) and there is no way he'd have any street smarts. Anyway I knew my supervisor wouldn't have a problem with that except for the fact that the woman who wanted him got REALLY rude with me and I got a little snippy back. We're really supposed to smile and nod when people yell at us and that's what I usually do BUT SHE WAS BEING MEAN and it was to protect my Georgie!!! But thankfully I still have a job, hehe.
Here's a pic I took of the Big Three in isolation.. this wasn't their cage, just their "holding cell" while I cleaned their bigger cage out:

Laurie - I'm sorry about Sunny. You did give him 22 beautiful years full of love though. I'm sure its a confort to know that he led a long, happy life. I wish you could meet George. He's the best (so are his brothers).
And Tonya, I'm sorry about Tom
Both of your posts brought tears to my eyes.
Oh and Tonya, keep your eyes out for Molly, a new black and white kitty we got in. She's gorgeous.
