A little update on Gracie: Everything is fine! She was in the very early stages of pregnancy, so unfortunately they were aborted. She had fleas and was treated for that, she was negative, and best part of all, she has a spot at one of the no-kill shelters once she’s healed from surgery. She will remain at the vets this evening, when we bring her home we’ll post her picture. We will foster until she is adopted. The vet said “she is so sweet”. That says a lot and I think she’ll find a home in no time!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
