Dearest Freckle, I can certainly relate to your guardian(s) foregoing vacations/holidays, because if I have even a single day off from work I relish spending it right here at home with my own kitties. Any extended time away from home would be out of the question entirely . . . I couldn't enjoy myself away from them and worrying if some petsitter was competent. I would feel so anxious about their wellbeing and whether they were upset because we weren't here. Cats get used to a routine, and change is disconcerting to them. There is no place I'd rather be than home with them, attending to their needs.
You are so divine, Freckle, and a most deserving COTD! You have such, long luxurious whiskers just like my one Tortie, Lizette.
