I doubt they'll let me bring him home the same day. They're pretty strict about stuff like that. I'd never heard of a vet wanting to keep them the night before the surgery. Is that unusual?

I'm just gonna try and not think about him being alone. He will probably sleep the night away anyway . . . once he wakes up from surgery, he'll be super sleepy.
