Our local "feed" store has a big gray cat that always sits on top of the cash register and welcomes any and all attention he receives there. His name is Rascal. We buy our bird seed there. I'm sure they have a ton of mice around the place, but the owner of the shop says Rascal is content to lay on the register these days and just accept attention. I think he's starting to get up there in years, so he's had enough of the hard work catching mice.

Last time we were in (last weekend) he was making air biscuits as I was petting him.
