I agree get the experts in to assess the situation.

No harm done if the animals are being properly looked after and if they are getting over welmed by the numbers of animals the experts can rehome the majority, so they are down to reasonable numbers.

I wonder if you mums husband is suffering minor mental health problems, he sounds like a typical collector, who thinks he is 'saving' animals but in reality he has too many to deal with.

For instance thinking it is acceptable to keep rabbit cages in the back yard with a dog in one of them, is very worrying.

I mean 120 medium to large animals (anything bigger than a rabbit) takes a lot of time and money to look after properly.
