I've never tried this, but over on the Cairn list, they swear by Licorice. There's something in the licorice that breaks down once it's digested, that is unappetizing. You just give one piece of licorice to each dog a day and supposedly that'll stop the problem. And on the plus side, they'll feel like they're getting an extra treat.
