Thanks so much everybody. Like I say, he continues to amaze me everyday with things he hasn't done in a long time.

This morning was a "fluid" day and I'm beginning to think he really doesn't need them. I put him on the table and he immediately got up and tried to jump down. I laid him back down again and tried to hold him with one hand while I put the needle on the IV thingy. Got that accomplished, and got the needle in, but he was sooo restless. Kept moving and trying to stand up. I'm trying to hold him down and keep the needle steady. Then finally he stood up and the needle fell out and fluid is going all over the place and I'm trying to hold him and turn the fluid off and he got out of my hands and jumped down and that was the end of that! I had gotten 100 whatevers in him out of the 150 whatevers that he's supposed to get, so I just let him go. I didn't want to poke him again for just 50 (I don't know, are they milliliters or cc's or what?) So he is definitely feeling much, much better, and he is drinking all the time so I know he's getting plenty of fluids. Guess I'm going to have to make sure to have Terry help me from now on. Between the two of us we should be able to keep Tubby down, and if two of us can't do it, I guess he doesn't need them that bad.
