Usually obedience training is to train the owner of the dog to train the dog. You should only take the dog that is to be trained to obedience class. It is a lot of work but the pay off is wonderful. You will have a dog that will listen & obey. The herding dogs are high energy dogs. We had a rescue dog that came to us as a 5 year old & boy was she hipper & wild. It took a lot of work teaching her obedience but she was a changed dog.
