A few years before John was shot, my brother and sister-in-law were on vacation (I can't remember where) and they met this guy that later turned out to be Chapman. To this day they have hung on to a picture that was taken of the 3 of them. Too weird.
RIP John. I remember every detail of where I was that tragic day. When you all appeared on the Ed Sullivan show I was at my friend's across the street and everytime they showed a closeup of you we both screamed.
I hope you and George have been celebrating your special day today.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
