I wasn't either, but he decided it was better then 'ferret stink', cleaner then 'cat litter boxes' and less hassle then 'millions of mecesses' *been there done that* so not like he had a choice
He doesn't really like them either, but doesn't do anything with them. He'll help take the cage outside so I can scrub it, or once the rattiees are out grab the dishes and bring them into the kitchen but that's about it. If it involves handling them No Way In Heck! He just doesn't do rodents, ferrets, only because he had to, but nothing else. I'm not even allowed to look at snakes in the pet stores because it creeps him out! And I've even tried garden snakes! So I'm happy with my ratties! Hey I even got his Mom a total rat hater to pet and shake hands with them, talk about a total turn around!!
