That is a great explanation, Jessica. Being new to Cockatiel ownership, I had to read a lot when we got Roger. When Milly came along, her name was Willy. I'll bet if I did a search back I could find posts here on Pet Talk where I told her (his) story. The more I read, the more I realized that the people who told me it was a boy were wrong. Now I can prove that for sure! But she has the bars on the underside of her tail, and it is also obvious because her orange cheeks are very muted in comparison to Roger's.

I know there are some more questions people asked, but the only other one I remember is that Popcornbird asked if Milly continues to sit on the baby and the eggs and yes, she does. It is interesting to look at her because she is holding herself differently, much more puffed up and spread out. I'm sure that is to help shift her weight to not hurt the baby. Their instincts are remarkable!!

So far, only the one baby, but as Jessica mentioned, there could be several days between hatchings because she laid the eggs over a week long period.
