Not a pointless post at all Julie! I've never actually dog-sat a whole lot, just my mother-in-law's sheltie before he passed to the bridge, but he was older, very spoiled, and had a lot of annoying habits . I'm sure though if I got a beautiful young golden like Nala to dog-sit, I'd go through just what you are. I just love seeing her and Daisy together, they look just beautiful. The color shade difference between them makes them really a striking pair, Nala looks just the same shade of red as Tommy boy. I just particularly love this shot:

I know you will really miss her, I hope you are able to convince your parents to try a third pup again . If you get another adult or even older pup, just take things slow and easy with introducing to Daisy and Molly. I know that when we got Willie at 9 months old, the first few days we had some problems with Cody being aggressive towards him. Cody who had never been aggressive towards other dogs, ever! We brought Cody in and let Willie out back to explore the yard on his own for awhile, then tried to introduce them on more neutral ground. Things were fine for a bit, but when we fed them and wouldn't let Cody have Willie's food too, Cody went after Willie in a way I had never seen him go after anything .

I look back now and think I should have fed them in separate areas for awhile till they were used to each other. Looking back is always 20/20 hindsight so they say, and I believe that is true!

On the other hand, when we brought Tommy here at 6 months, he and Tasha were instant best buddies. So sometimes things go perfectly smooth too. Tasha was the alpha and Tommy was only too happy to accept that.

Anyway, I am blabbering off subject now . Please give us some pics of the lovely Molly and Daisy together soon!
