Every spring we have a pair of mallards come hang out in the yard for awhile. They roost under the pines at night and graze under the bird feeders during the day. There is a river kind of close by and I guess this yard is a haven with all the pine trees. I hate to let the dogs out when they are out because Tasha chases them wildly and I feel so sorry for them. But they always come back shortly
