Hi everyone. Last night was very stressful for everyone. I only managed to get about 1 hour of sleep. When I tried to sleep in my room with Cirrus, my other 3 cats would cry at my door and then Cirrus would start crying and scratching the door with his e-collar. When I tried to sleep on the couch with Storm, Sunny, and Sky, Cirrus would start crying, scratching, and pounding on my bedroom door. I finally had to sleep on the floor in my bedroom near my door to try to prevent Cirrus from scratching it and crying.

This morning I tried to give him his antibiotics in his wet food and he started to eat it but then must have tasted the medicine and would have nothing to do with it. He was also trying to use his litterbox and was crying in pain but nothing was coming out. I noticed that he had peed on one of the pee pads which are around the litterbox.

I decided to take him back to the vet to have his e-collar tightened, his stitches examined, and his meds administered. My vet is out of town so there was a very nice woman vet who is covering for him. She gave him some gas to sedate him and secured his e-collar and said his stitches look fine.

Since my parents are out of town until early March, I decided to take Cirrus to their house and put him in their bathroom. I'll be able to check on him 3 times a day now because it's very close to my work and I can go there during my lunch break. I felt he needed a much quieter place without the distractions from my other cats. The first thing he did was to jump in the bathtub so I put a towel down for him in there.

I sure hope he'll be fine now and that I won't have to go back to the vets until the 25th. I've also decided that I'm only going to take him to the vets if he's sick or hurt in some way because it's just too traumatic and stressful for both him and me. I hope you don't think that I'm a bad meowmie for doing this.
