Thanks again everyone. I forgot to mention that Cirrus weighs a little over 16lbs and my vet would like him to lose 3-4lbs. He'll be on the Calculi reducing diet so and I think he can only have 3/4 of a cup per day. Hopefully this will help him stay healthy and lose the weight too. He also can't run or jump for 2 weeks. I also learned that my vet's office will be opened on Presidents Day so that's a relief too.

I think the first 7 days should be fine because the pain meds make him sleepy. It's the other 7 that I'm worried about. I think I will ask my vet if he has another type of e-collar like the one Meg described.
