I think the big problem with AIDS is that we've become complacent. People with HIV/AIDS can now be treated and live longer, healthier lives. Which is GREAT. However, I think it makes a lot of people get lazy. It dulls the threat.
I have no problem with abstinence being a component of sex ed, but I have a problem with it being the center of sex ed. People must be realistic, teenagers are going to have sex. And if they choose to do that, they should have all the information at hand about what the consequences and safest methods are.
