I don't like naming my cats human names, either, for some reason that I can't even explain. Some human names are okay, like Charlie and Mickey and such, but even then those are generally human nicknames. My mom believes only in human names for her cats, which is fine if that's what you like, but I for some reason have trouble getting my tongue around such fine noble names as "Gordon" and "Michael" when they are being applied to a feline! But to each his own, I know, and I don't doubt that there are many people who laugh in scorn when they hear me talk about my "Biggle Wiggle Macka Jig" or, as he's otherwise known, "Big Mac".
