I'm with you Pop. Im a liberal democrat. No surprise. But my dislike for arnie has nothing to do with him being republican. I disliked Clinton. What I do when faced with the apparent misbehavoir, or illegal actions of a politician of the other party is ask myself what I would do if my favorite democrat did this. Would I still like them? Would this change how I feel about that person? If my answer is no for my favorite democrat (or another democrat I hold in high esteem), then that helps me to decide how I feel about the person, and helps be be more sure that it isn't just based on his political party. I try to avoid the double standard.
So, for example, if I found out that...say... Carter had done this, would it change how I view him...
