Just a thought for your 'Mom': The reason that Cassie loves that toy so much is because you owned it for so many years & it has your scent all over it. The sense of smell is so strong for a dog...& this toy is like having YOU close for Cassie. And you are the very special person in her life.
When you get other toys for her, rub them hard against the palms of your hand to get your scent on them...handle them a lot...even sit on them!
