I read this today and it's bothered me ever since. I mean
Indy is as mainstream politically as you can get. Why would
the S S want a video of the event?

Secret Service Requested Tape Of Indy Council Meeting
Agents Investigated Unspecified Allegation

POSTED: 7:38 p.m. CST April 11, 2003

INDIANAPOLIS -- The U.S. Secret Service confirmed this week it requested a videotape of a March 17 city-county council meeting after hearing about an allegation that it would not specify.

No arrests were made as a result of an investigation, and the matter is now closed, the service said Thursday.

During the meeting, the council passed a resolution supporting U.S. military action in Iraq.

A number of antiwar protesters attended the meeting. Some of the protesters grabbed a microphone during a recess, causing security officers to intervene.
