I think there is a topic I started a while back when Shai was having digestive troubles. Right now I am feeding her Sensible Choice Natural Blend mixed with Iams (green bag!)
And I mix a some canned food or Bil Jac frozen food in with it - she Loves the BilJac.
I wouldn't reccommend Kibbles and Bits unless it was mixed with a better quality food. A lady I work with has a golden retriever who is her heart and soul and she fed her Kibbles and Bits and she suffered from such horrible allergies, and was almost completly bald!! She switched foods and she is doing excellant!! She was considering putting her down to put her out of her misery. And that would be no small consideration for this lady!! She would go nuts if anything happened to Molly.
The first thing to look at for dog food is the ingredient. The most desired ingredient listed as #1 should be meat. Whether it be, chicken, lam, beef, turkey etc. Pedigree and Science Diet's first ingrediant is Corn.
I tried Innova and Shai loved it, but she also really likes what she eating now so I am not one to mess with a good thing in this case!!! I searched and searched and bought and bought to find the right kind of food for her!!!!
