I'm sorry to see that I've upset/offended you all but... It's just a joke! No matter how much you love something (animals for example) you gotta be able to take a joke. It's not as if it's a graphic or cruel photo, and it's obvious the gun is fake. Sure, maybe a water gun would have been more appropriate but that would have rendered the caption meaningless.
