Apparently you have not heard of "Naughty Nebo??" My dog is in NO WAY perfect.....I promise.......I've felt like you many times, comparing my little brat to all the perfect pet talk doggies.

I'm really not sure what to tell you. When Nebo starts getting nippy with me I'll get up and walk away from him and ignore him. I know this really does not work with every dog though....ignoring him didn't work when he was a puppy, and he was BITEY puppy. If I say "Ouch!" really loud or "Uh-uh" he'll at least stop to look at me for a bit. Somebody told me to put Vicks or Bitter Apple on my hands if he was biting, but it didn't stop him at all.

Have you tried a lot of positive inforcement (clicks/treats when he's being good) with him? It kind of sounds like he's biting you to get attention, even if it's negative attention. I know for a fact that dogs sense your feelings....when I'm in a bad mood, usually Nebo is a brat, which makes me more frustrated and upset, which makes him more of a brat.......If I just calm down, he's better.
