Gary, I'm not rich and I got tired of being robbed by Verizon for my internet. I used a portable modem called a Clear Internet stick. I plug it into a usb port on my computer and I instantly have fast, reliable, internet service. You can buy them on ebay or Amazon for around $40-$80 dollars and for a full month of problem free, unlimited data that's fast I pay (no contract, you can stop at any time) $55 USD per month. Check it out online and see if it's available in your area. If it is, just buy a tablet with a usb port, they don't all have one, and you're good to go!
