My mother was a reporter in the late 1940's, early 1950's and as a woman, was consigned to writing for the "Society" pages. That meant weddings, engagements, funerals, debutants, etc.

After one too many late night sessions, she made a typo that made it past her own checking, two copy-editors, and another editor, into print. Same number of letters, same syllables, first and last letters, but
"Worcester Girl wed in Brookline Cemetery" just is not the same as "Worcester Girl wed in Brookline Ceremony"
