It's a good thing that Destiny bolted away after her injury, that she was lucky enough to get the care she needed to survive, and that she has thrived with humans who very obviously love her and are loved in return. In my experience with rescued cats, they are much more aware of what goes on than we give them credit for. They never stop being grateful to those who help them.
This one is a true beauty, and it's wonderful to have her as part of the world.
