Dear, beautiful Lydia. It breaks my heart to think you were taken so suddenly, and long before your time. But we are so grateful to your family for having chosen adult rescue, giving you, one very deserving kitty, so many happy years of unconditional love; love on your terms.
I know how your family's heart is breaking, how much they miss you. I swallowed hard when I read of the date of your passing, May 26th. That was my precious Ollie's "Gotcha Day," and my birthday as well; always such a happy day, especially for Ollie. Sadly, this year, not long after his "Gotcha Day," he fell inexplicably and suddenly ill, struggling for breath, though a mere 2 months ago he was given a clean bill of health; even his blood work results had come back "perfect." After 3 days receiving aggressive treatment in an ICU unit for fluid in his lungs, cause unknown, he passed, June 6th.
I'm sure Ollie is still finding his way around the Bridge, but for sure my big hearted boy was one of the first to make your acquaintance after he crossed, and knowing my Ollie, he's probably cuddled up next to you on that beloved "big bed" right now, sharing cherished memories of happy times, waiting patiently for that wonderful day when we all are together again.
Send down your love to your Mommy and Daddy, and beloved brother Niles, to comfort them, Lydia; they miss you so. And when you see him, tell Ollie that Mom loves him and misses him too...so very much.
To the parents of Lydia. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful (inside and out) girl with us, giving us the chance to honor her for the very special kitty that she was. How blessed she was to have had a family as devoted and loving as yours. Lydia's success story is testament to just how far love and patience can go in helping to heal the spirit. I only wish your time together could have been much, much longer. Lydia was truly a treasure.
(((HUGS)))
Sandra♥
