Come with me, into these woods
Where leaves will crunch underfoot
As their compatriots fall gracefully around us
Breathe in the air, still warm but with that
Sharp edge of autumn approaching
Inhale the scents of rich decay and moss and summer's passing
Come with me into these woods, and feel
The sunshine, dappled through branches and
Sparse remaining leaves,
As it touches our faces with a last kiss of heat
As we clasp hands and stroll amidst
The fleeting autumn splendor and gold
Kicking up leaves and memories as we go
