Dear Friend,
I'm sorry you've gone through some tough times in the past. I've been blessed to be married to the same sweet and very forgiving lady for 38 years so I can't say I have known divorce. I have, however, known those who have and it's painful. I'm glad you had Valencia to be with you and help you get through it.
In your telling of his story, you mentioned Valencia gives you love taps. I have a 17 year old female kitty named "Erin", AKA "The Mouser", although she's never even seen a mouse. There are times when she will tag someone going down the hall and since I've been interested in Plains Indian culture for a long time, I used the term of "counting coup" for what Erin does. In several of the Plains Tribes, it was considered more brave to simply strike one's enemy than to kill him. Coup sticks were often used, a sort of long, shepherd's hook looking thing, along with using one's bow of the side of one's tomahawk. Even the hand was used. I just thought I'd share that with you since you had a kitty who knew something of counting coup himself.
May the Lord bless you for giving this magnificent kitty a good and loving home. May your life be filled with peace and love and may you spend eternity with the Blessed Lord Jesus.
My love to all, in Jesus, my Savior,
