So you get to buy their costumes now? I took dance lessons for several years before I messed up my knee, and my mother made all of mine. The dance instructor picked out the pattern and material, and it was up to the mothers to then buy the pattern, materials, and whip it all together. Luckily, my mother was quite a good seamstress, and other less talented mothers would pay Mom to make their daughter's too.
