I majored in IT, a lot has changed since the 1980's though. I didn't have to take much math, I took business calculus which wasn't too bad.

Honestly if you were my kid...well you sort of are I wouldn't recommend the computer field, it is so volatile. I know a lot of people that have lost their jobs in the last few years.
