LOL, excluding the overnights we do from time to time, this will be the 2nd set of puppies, we have fostered in the last 10 weeks. We had one singleton in between. Usually a 7-10 day foster, to get them out from wherever, get some socializing in, and help out the rescue situation. I have had so many dogs in my house that my cats really don't care too much. And, since these are normally young puppies, it isn't an issue. (I do keep the adult dogs separated, in the basement, for the overnights). These little guys live upstairs with the herd. The last little girl we had was eating out of her food bowl, with Arizona drinking out of the water bowl 2 inches away, by the 2 or 3rd day.
It is fun, a lot of work, and I am always emotional when they leave. I encourage everyone to help out with fostering when they can!
