I asked my vet about giving him the canned food and the puppy formula. She said if he was eating it, she didn't see any reason to change it up. Just the main thing to do is to make sure he does eat, because pups his sign can have problems with their blood sugar. Which I already knew because our chihuahua only weighed 10 oz. when we got him at 6 weeks.

This little man weighed 16.03 oz. which is just barely a pound.
thats what we did with abandoned heeler pups at the shelter where I volunteer. I hope he makes out okay and he could be all yorkie, his hair just needs to grow out. look at Rudy he was barely shaggy and now he's a shaggy pup! but I don;t think he has yorkie in him. It's a good thing you found this boy!
