Thanks, everyone! I had a terrific and LONG day with my Archeology of the Bay Area class. We took a field trip up to Pt. Reyes National Seashore, where they have a replica of an Ohlone Indian village. We got to see a demonstration on how they made arrowheads out of obsidian and got to take home souvenirs. I now have an obsidian arrowhead and some pieces of obsidian that were left by the Indians (Native Americans) about 10,000 years ago.
It was such a fun day, trekking in nature - it had just rained so everything was fresh.
Who knew that at my ageI would be trouncing around in nature and loving it - took very few pics and accidentally took a pic of a sacred sweat lodge. It's supposedly bad luck to photograph these things so I'm going to delete that pic from my camera just in case
