Some day I will see a moose in person. I have driven many New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine highways with "moose crossing" signs, visited parks and reservation area where moose live, and even drove to a friends house that had a pond where a moose bathed every day - and she skipped the day I came ...
When I was still living in Anchorage, I didnt have dogs then, Ild go fishing after work for a few hours each night in the summer. This one night Im out floating on a lake fishing and a big bull moose walks down to the lake and starts swimming at me, so I put the rod down and start back paddling. I can tell you moose can swim faster then you would think. My buddy Mike was fishing the same lake with a similar boat as mine and the moose went after him too.

This is what my little raft looks like but mine is green.

A big bull moose against me and my raft would not have been pretty.
