The Friday before I went to the county fair with a dear friend. We had a wonderful time, one of the best days of my life- I remember thinking that life was good then.

I was in bed and popped on the snoozer that gave me the radio. The morning show that I listen to and thought, "whoa!"

I jumped out of bed and went next door to my parents house. I watched the last tower go down and thought, "what do I do?" I told them I was going to work, I didn't know what was going to happen and thought about our disaster plan.

MY mom asked me if I had to go! I told her that the terrorists weren't after an old Mexican couple in the valley.

I watched the skies as I drove into work-As you drive the freeway into Lost Angeles from the north you can see the Jumbos flying into LAX. I think I said a prayer that I wouldn't see anything like that here.

I live near three airports and the following days were really errie with no plane engines in the air. And yes, being a huge aviation fan, they sound of far off war planes buzzing the area was unreal, to say the least.
