And you do notice that I don't go to these things, chance of rain, noise, dirt (possibly mud) aren't really my things. We used to go tent camping when the kids were small and nothing was more upsetting than getting all that stuff together and then have it rain. I think the last two times we went we were rained out. The kids used to sleep in separate tents with their friends. No rain was expected but an unexpected storm hit - the girls didn't get their windows closed so everything got soaked! The other time it rained so hard that there was a small (very small) river flowing through our campsite! No not wanting to get all that stuff together and not getting to use it would have definitely been my call too!
I'm usually the same way too but I do have fun watching the big boys on the little dirt track -

And It was raining at my house - my parents house to drop Keegan off - my way to Lima - and most of the way to Piqua. I did notice it was clear in the north and thought to myself (too bad I'm not going THAT way!) And while we were sitting at Anna's house while they went to get their van, I looked out and it looked like someone was standing on their roof pouring buckets of rain into the puddles!! Heck - I was just along for the ride regardless of what happened. My philosophy was - I was off work, I was with friends, and I could at least play with the dogs!!
