But mannn, I get SO annoyed when a Vet quotes only the ACT that they're doing... instead of what the total cost will be. "The neuter will be $80." Then when they're done, "Uh... yeah... well... with anesthesia and after-care and meds, it's $350." I would rather they just told me up front. I guess, maybe, it's because some owners flip their lid, but it's more annoying to get a bill for way more than they originally told you.
No kidding eh!? Our new vet sends us estimates that look like actual invoices.. with price breakdowns and everything. Gawd, I'd flip if they told me $40 for an extraction and got an invoice for $700
