What is it made of?

The background is painted on canvas. We didn't paint with liquid paint, but with pigment (kind of powder);
For that couple we got 2 little statue's made from gypsum. We painted them with dark brown paint.
We glued them on the canvas then.
Then we needed some old fabric. We ripped it into pieces and immersed those in a bowl filled with some paint that contained stuff which made the fabric hardened (=set).
When everything was dry, we painted(powder paint again) the clothes with almost 6 different colours, going from red to purple, blue, white, grey, etc.. ;
That's it! This painting had to dry during nearly 2 days. Now the clothes are completely hardened!
