Actually, Dr. Lee mentioned that a kidney transplant is an option IF another kidney would be available or IF I wanted to remove one from one of my healthy cats. He said that 100 kidney transplants have been performed and 50 of the cats have lived. First of all, I wouldn't take a healthy kidney from one of my cats. I wouldn't criticize anybody who would make that choice for themselves and their cat/s; I just wouldn't. And second, I wouldn't put Puddy through that. She's been through enough. And I can't even imagine what the financial cost would be. Perhaps if she were much younger and circumstances were different. But she isn't and they aren't.Originally Posted by cassiesmom
