(2008 minus 2001 = Oscar is seven years old!)
After Oscar had been tamed from the wild by my former boss at a cat boarding kennel (hence the name 'Oscar', because he was 'wild'), the vet put his age at "2 1/2, no older than 3", and set his birthdate at January 1, 2001.
I was so broke at the time, and had not had a kitty in YEARS - and my boss and his wife not only paid for the neutering and all, but GAVE him to me for Christmas! *snif*
His Gotcha Day is December 19, when I actually brought him home. Today he is 7 (or so!).
Happy Birthday, my heart baby! I love you very much and you have been a warm purring blessing and a comfort.
Two of each pose are older shots, before he slimmed down...hard to tell, maybe, but the side of his tummy doesn't bulge up anymore!
