My FELV+ cat was ill and we had made the decision to euthanize him, but the vet tried one more thing--an injection of Vitamin B12 and cortisone. The cat recovered and was healthy for 3 more years. We continued the injections about once every three weeks. When he first recovered, the vet predicted he would live only a few more weeks, but he had three more years of good living.
