Largo di Torre Argentina is a set of four Republican Roman temples and the remains of Pompey's Theater in Rome and the site where Caesar was killed. It is also the site of a cat sanctuary. There are well maintained kitties lounging around in the ruins of the temples which are down in a pit so the cats don't have to brave the tourists trampling through.

I was pleased to see people in restaurants make an effort to feed the cats around Rome. Even more amazing was to see cats as part of the restaurant staff in Paris. The older buildings have a rodent problem and a good mouser is always the best friend of a restaurateur!
