Jen - from what I have read, Feliway is not to contact a cat's skin. I don't know if this has to do with licking it off, or if it absorbs through the skin and shouldn't.
I'll google a bit and post anything I find here.

Get Harry a harness. OR - if there is a place where he lies around for 3 - 4 hours, squirt the stuff on a rag and leave it beside him.
Hmmm....how long does it take Harry to get a collar off? If it had Feliway on it...he might not be so ornery!![]()
Oscar's alternative to Feliway is amitriptyline (Elavil).
