My daughter has two rats and they are sweet girls. Rats are very social creatures and do not want to be alone, make sure to get two. They are super intelligent and loving, need a lot of attention and playtime. Sort of like a puppy. The pet stores have special food so they get all their vitamins. I always spoil our two girls, they are rats and love all foods. Fruits, meat, cookies. I suggest going to the library and getting some books on rats, looking on the internet and knowing more then anything that they need a lot of love and time and toys.
